Am Writing

I’m participating in NaNoWriMo this month, as you can see by the nifty little wordcount widget over to the right. Keep an eye on that puppy if you’re interested in watching my progress — I hope to post some more details about the book and the experience as the month goes on, but right now I am flat-out knackered from a long day at work, followed by writing 1800 words of prose that will, god willing, one day be part of a real, live book.

Yes, I have a story in mind, and yes, I am doing this with publishing as my goal.

Aim high, I always say.

Are you doing NaNoWriMo? Is there anything you want to know about what I’m doing, why I’m doing it, what I’m writing, or what on earth I could be thinking, seeing as I have a fancy, fulltime, tremendously time-consuming job as well?

Ask away. Or don’t, and just keep refilling that coffee cup on the corner of my desk.

Either way, really.

3 Thoughts.

  1. Love the widget! How do I get one? Can’t wait to hear more about your book. I’m participating this year in the hopes that I’ll actually finish something that hasn’t ever been started, but has been planned out for over five years. Best of luck to you! Looks like you’re well on your way to hitting your 50,000 words by the end of the month :)

  2. The widgets are available on nanowrimo.org :)
And it’s early days yet to be predicting success in completing the goal of 50,000 words, but I sure plan on trying! I mean, the world needs another steamy Regency romance novel, am I right?
